The David Caceres Orchestra Featuring Aisha Ussery: A Night of Jazz & Soul
Fri, Sep 18
Aisha Ussery returns to Doc's stage with David Caceres and his orchestra. It will not be the last. Ussery built her name on Houston stages, not in jazz clubs. She has directed shows at The Ensemble Theatre. She was also in the cast of Cinderella and Mary Poppins at Theatre Under The Stars. At Doc's she puts down the script and picks up a microphone. She sings in front of a full orchestra, twelve players deep in horns and rhythm. Caceres built this band over years of playing Houston rooms. He built it to back a singer, not just play alone. Come back and hear where the two of them take it next.
About Doc's Houston
Doc's is Houston's premier supper club and live music venue, set inside Montrose's historic Tower Theatre and is a 1936 movie palace whose stage has hosted legends from Ella Fitzgerald to Leon Russell. Opened in 2025 by bandleader and pianist Doc Watkins, the club brings the golden era of the supper club back to Westheimer. Live music runs Tuesday through Saturday, from Doc Watkins and his orchestra to world-class touring artists. Every show in the showroom is an intimate, ticketed concert with reserved seating and attentive table service from the first note to the last. Come early for chef Matt Fanella's classic supper club fare: steaks, seafood, and pastas with handcrafted cocktails and wine to match. At Doc's, the goal is simple: to bring joy, with sensational entertainment, exquisite food and drinks, and service that exceeds every expectation. 1201 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006 (281) 805-8787 Tuesday– Saturday 6 PM–midnight
