Doc's One Year Anniversary Celebration!

Sun, Nov 15

Doc's opened in November 2025 inside Montrose's Tower Theatre, a 1936 movie palace. Doc Watkins, the club's namesake, pianist and bandleader, opened the room. For the first anniversary, he sits at the piano with a big band made up of local Houston musicians. These are the players who helped Doc's build what it has in one year, so the night is as much theirs as his.

Nicoya Baker and Trisha Jones sing as guest vocalists. Students from HSPVA, Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, welcome guests as they arrive. Guests walk the red carpet in, share a champagne toast, and take home a free poster, one per table.
