In a career spanning 60+ years, Ella Fitzgerald won 13 Grammy Awards and toured the world, but never lost the joy of performing for her adoring fans. In 1980 she recorded a live album in the very room that now houses Doc's Houston, then known as The Tower Theatre. Nicoya Baker and the Graeme Francis Quartet bring her spirit and verve back to life in a celebration of her musical legacy, performing a variety of standards made famous by the First Lady of Song.

About Doc's Houston
Doc's is Houston's premier supper club and live music venue, set inside Montrose's historic Tower Theatre. A landmark 1936 movie palace, its stage has hosted legends such as Ella Fitzgerald and Leon Russell, Steve Martin and Ray Charles. Re-opened in 2025 by bandleader and pianist Doc Watkins, the club brings the golden era of the supper club back to Westheimer. Live music runs Tuesday through Saturday, with performances by Doc Watkins and his orchestra to world-class touring artists.
