Houston horns for the holiday season
Latin Jazz Navidad Featuring Felix Deleon
Sun, Nov 29, 2026

Felix Deleon is a Houston trumpeter and bandleader whose jazz picks up Latin, soul, and modern color along the way. At Doc's he takes the carols you know by heart and sets them on horns, a driving rhythm section, and Latin percussion. You will recognize every tune by the second bar, and the rhythm underneath will be the surprise.

Latin Jazz Navidad Featuring Felix Deleon
Sun, Nov 29
Latin Jazz Navidad is the night in Doc's holiday season built around Latin rhythm. Felix Deleon leads the band on trumpet, and the carols you grew up with get new clothes: horns up front, a driving rhythm section, and Latin percussion underneath. Deleon plays with a full, resonant tone and a singing, lyrical line, and he is a leading voice in Houston's music community, moving between jazz, Latin, and soul. Other nights at Doc's lean toward swing, soul, or the hush of a trio, so this is the one for guests who want holiday songs with some heat in them and a table that is going to tap along.
About Doc's Houston
Doc's is Houston's premier supper club and live music venue, set inside Montrose's historic Tower Theatre and is a 1936 movie palace whose stage has hosted legends from Ella Fitzgerald to Leon Russell. Opened in 2025 by bandleader and pianist Doc Watkins, the club brings the golden era of the supper club back to Westheimer. Live music runs Tuesday through Saturday, from Doc Watkins and his orchestra to world-class touring artists. Every show in the showroom is an intimate, ticketed concert with reserved seating and attentive table service from the first note to the last.
