Satin Dolls: Iconic Ladies of Jazz Ft. Trisha Jones

Trisha Jones grew up in New Orleans on jazz, gospel, blues and reggae, all in the same room. She brings that mix to Doc's stage. The house's own eleven-piece big band backs her up. Together they sing the women behind the songbook: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and more.

Satin Dolls: Iconic Ladies of Jazz Ft. Trisha Jones

Fri, Sep 25

Satin Dolls is a night for the women who sang the American Songbook. Not just the men who wrote it. Doc's own eleven-piece big band backs vocalist Trisha Jones. Together they sing Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Etta James. All of it comes from the 1930s through the 1960s. The room has real history with these songs. Doc's sits inside a 1936 movie palace. Ella Fitzgerald once played that same stage. Trisha Jones grew up in New Orleans. She grew up on jazz, gospel, blues and reggae. That range shows up in every set. This run started in March 2026 and continues through September. Most nights run two shows, an early one and a later one.
