Celia Cruz left Cuba and never went back. She sang with Tito Puente's band and later joined the Fania All-Stars, the only woman on that stage. She won a Grammy. Before her biggest numbers she shouted "¡Azúcar!" and the crowd learned to shout it back. Taty Sunay built her band on that same songbook: congas, timbales, a horn line, and guest musicians who rotate through the set. Doc's runs this residency across several nights. Pick any night. About Doc's Houston
Doc's is Houston's premier supper club and live music venue, set inside Montrose's historic Tower Theatre and is a 1936 movie palace whose stage has hosted legends from Ella Fitzgerald to Leon Russell.
