The Luv Duvs

The Luv-Duvs are the dynamic husband and wife musical duo of Shannon and Eli Moore, two love birds who found each other on a cruise ship. Sail through love songs from Shannon’s international repertoire and let Eli’s versatile piano and vocal stylings lead you through the most romantic tunes from the Great American Songbook, as well as a few of his own. Backed by Houston’s finest jazz instrumentalists, The Luv-Duvs will be sharing twists on familiar standards, enchanting duets, and captivating originals. Shannon Moore is a sultry jazz vocalist and charismatic performer in the tradition of Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald. This Bayou City native followed a meandering path to jazz singing, first taking detours at the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Spanish and Portuguese, then living and working abroad in Thailand and Brazil, before beginning her musical studies at Houston Community College. Her sound and style is as eclectic as she is, harkening back to Brazilian bossa nova, French torch songs and jazz of the big band era. Eli Moore is a pianist, singer-songwriter and world-traveler from New Zealand. Since studying music at the University of Auckland, he’s indulged his many musical preferences in jazz fusion groups, rock’n’roll outfits, big bands, opera troupes and pit orchestras both back home and around the globe on cruise ships. Most recently a popular piano bar entertainer on Holland America Line, Eli channels his many influences - from Bill Evans to Bruce Hornsby - in his own music, which he writes, produces and mixes here in Houston. Our kitchen and bar will be open, serving up chef-crafted dishes and handcrafted cocktails to make your night complete. Come hungry, the food’s as good as the music! See you at the show!
