The Sinatra Holiday Songbook with Wyatt Michael

People compare Wyatt Michael to Frank Sinatra, and at Doc's he sings a Sinatra-style holiday songbook. On season 21 of "The Voice," he sang "Mack the Knife" and turned the chairs of both Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande. Here you hear that voice up close, over dinner and cocktails, with the Doc's House quartet.

The Sinatra Holiday Songbook with Wyatt Michael

Sat, Dec 19

Wyatt Michael studied piano as a kid and never took to it, but the music stuck. He started writing songs with his brother, and the two played original rock in a band called Chasing Avenir, which put out an EP called "Blue." Around then he found the jazz standards and fell for them right away.

His first solo album, "Renaissance," came out on November 8, 2019. It holds unreleased songs by David Mann, who wrote "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning." Mann's son and estate gave Wyatt permission to record them.

At Doc's he sings the Sinatra Holiday Songbook with the House quartet, and he has also sung "Sinatra at the Sands" here with The Graeme Francis Orchestra.
