Jazz Titans: The 100th Anniversary of Miles and Coltrane

Miles Davis and John Coltrane once stood in the same band and cut the same record: Kind of Blue. September 23 is John Coltrane's 100th birthday, and Doc's marks the night by honoring his and Davis's 100th birthdays together. The Felix DeLeon Quartet plays with guest artist Ernesto Vega. DeLeon takes the trumpet chair for Davis's cool side. Vega picks up clarinet and saxophone for Coltrane's searching side. Hear songs from Kind of Blue and A Love Supreme, played side by side for one night only.
