Houston-raised vibraphonist and composer Jalen Baker is one of jazz’s most exciting emerging voices. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago (B.A. in Jazz Studies) and Florida State University (M.M. in Jazz Studies), where he was a Ravinia Jazz Fellow, Baker has performed with acclaimed artists including Johnathan Blake, Ulysses Owens Jr., Jeremy Pelt, and Tim Warfield, while also leading his own band at top venues nationwide. His debut album, "This Is Me, This Is Us" (2021), was named the #4 Best Jazz Debut of the year, and his follow-up, "Be Still" (2023), climbed to #24 on the international jazz charts. Blending lyrical sophistication with rhythmic intensity, Baker’s music reflects his deep roots in both classical and jazz traditions. Our kitchen and bar will be open for dinner service!
