Doc's Presents: Eloise Carter Cover

Eloise Carter is an emerging jazz singer based in NYC. She released her first EP "Eloise: Live From Monks" this past November and is currently on her first tour! Though a native Californian, she comes from a long line of Houstonians and is thrilled to make a stop in her family’s home town. Growing up as the sole Ella Fitzgerald enthusiast in the household, Eloise’s passion for jazz blossomed naturally. While she studied Theater and Education Psychology at Sarah Lawrence College, her love for jazz continued in the background. Her postgraduate pursuit of music began as a side project with a friend as a way to feel invigorated while auditioning. A few gigs later, Eloise decided to investigate a career in music more seriously. Now she is fresh out of the Tribeca Jazz Institute’s Vocal Intensive, taught by Lucy Yegazarian. An emerging artist in both the acting and music fields, Eloise was recently in a short film premiering at the Austin Film Festival and is developing a Shakespeare adaptation entitled Gents Can’t Measure. Eloise will be joined by Marco Santos on guitar, Woody Witt on tenor sax, Cory Dozier on bass, and Graeme Francis on drums. Our kitchen and bar will be open for dinner service! See you at the show!
