This theatrical tribute to Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, brought to life by Horace Alexander Young and Laura Jane Jones, celebrates the iconic songs from the Cole Family Songbook. Backed by a 10-piece orchestra of some of Houston’s finest, this surely will be a special night! Horace Alexander Young is known for being an arranger, musician, vocalist, and producer, and has contributed to well over 100 recordings with the likes of B.B. King, Nancy Wilson, Jonathan Butler, The Manhattans, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, and The O’Jays, to name a few. He conducted the Joe Sample Jazz Orchestra and was the first African American to conduct the South African Symphony with Abdullah Ibrahim. Young’s roots are strong in Houston, and he is a life member of AFM-65-699 and a life member of the Texas Grammy Chapter. Laura Jane Jones is known for singing with the likes of Enrique Iglesias, Joe Cocker, Dave Matthews Band, The Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Cynthia Erivo, and Katharine McPhee, just to name a few. She has traveled to and performed in 101 countries. She is a songwriter, producer, playwright, and educator. Her film and TV soundtrack work includes "Song Sung Blue" starring Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman, "Dora and the Lost City of Gold," "Letters to Juliet," "American Housewife," and many more.
