Based out of Houston, TX, Phoenix Rising Jazz is a jazz collective that embodies immortality, reinvention, and the soul of timeless music. Formed through a blend of chance encounters, shared musical roots, and the magic of social media, this powerhouse group has been delivering unforgettable performances since 2018. The name Phoenix Rising Jazz isn't just a title, it's a philosophy. Inspired by the mythical Phoenix, which is reborn from its own ashes, our name represents the immortality of jazz. Unlike passing trends, jazz is eternal, constantly evolving yet always in style. Grounded in Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Gospel, we bring a unique mixture of genre blending original compositions to all of our shows. We also bring a wealth of jazz infused covers of some of our favorite artists, which have added to our signature vibe. No strict dress codes or forced image, just pure talent, passion, and the magic of jazz. Phoenix Rising Jazz is comprised of Wesly J. Walker on saxophones/aerophone, Edwin Brown on piano/keyboard, Ric Lominy on Electric Bass, Keandre McClendon on Drums and Roberto Rodriguez on Electric guitar. Our kitchen and bar will be open, serving up chef-crafted dishes and handcrafted cocktails to make your night complete. Come hungry, the food’s as good as the music! See you at the show!
