Join Doc’s Houston Big Band and powerhouse vocalist Trisha Jones as they dive into the lives and songs of trailblazing female jazz icons, the well-known “Satin Dolls” of America’s first true art form. Celebrating American Songbook favorites from the 1930’s -60’s, as well as paying homage to the powerful voices & performances that contributed to the musical landscape of the world, you’ll hear classics from Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Etta James.
